Plain English, same as our terms. This covers what we collect, why, who else touches it, and how to make us delete it. Vortan is operated by Dubs Connect LLC, Bozeman, Montana.
The short version: We collect what you type into our forms so we can call you back. We don't sell it, we don't advertise with it, and we set no cookies or trackers on this site. Ask us to delete it and we will, within 30 days.
There are two different relationships here and they work differently:
When you use our contact form: your name, business name, email address, phone number if you give one, and whatever you write in the message. We use it to reply to you and to keep track of the conversation. Nothing else.
When you fill in a form on a client's website we built: your name, phone, email, the service you asked about, your message, and a photo if you attach one. That goes straight to the business you were contacting. We host it for them; we don't use it ourselves.
When you turn on notifications inside a Vortan app: a subscription token from your browser that lets us send alerts to that device. It contains no personal information and we delete it the moment you turn notifications off.
Automatically: nothing beyond the standard server logs our hosting provider keeps — IP address, time, page requested — which are used for security and are not tied to you by name.
This site sets no cookies. No analytics, no advertising pixels, no session tracking, no third-party scripts. That's why there's no cookie banner: there's nothing to consent to.
The only thing loaded from another company is the typeface, from Google Fonts, which means Google sees the request. If we ever add analytics we'll update this page and add a proper consent prompt before we do.
We're a one-person company and we use other companies to run things. Each only gets what they need:
We don't sell your information, rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers. We'd only disclose it if the law actually required us to.

We'll do it within 30 days, free, and we won't ask why. If you're in the database of a business that uses Vortan rather than ours, tell us and we'll pass the request to them, because it's their decision to make, not ours.
We keep enquiry information for two years unless you ask us to remove it sooner.
Your customers' information belongs to you. We hold it to run your app and for no other reason. We don't mine it, sell it, or use it to train anything. We look at it only when you ask us for help, when we're fixing a fault, or if the law requires it.
Each customer's data sits in a database of its own. You can ask for a full export at any time and we'll get it to you within 7 days. After you cancel we keep it for 30 days in case you change your mind, then delete it permanently.
If we ever have a security incident affecting your data, we'll tell you within 72 hours of finding out — what happened, what was affected, and what we're doing about it. We'd rather give you an awkward email than let you find out some other way.
We'll give you 30 days notice before adding any new company to the list in section 4.
Vortan is a tool for businesses. It isn't for anyone under 18 and we don't knowingly collect anything from children.
If we change this policy we'll change the date at the top. If it's a change that actually affects you, we'll email you rather than hoping you re-read the page.
